Pastor Phil is a recent graduate of Lutheran Theological Seminary in Saskatoon.  He has been an ordained pastor in the ELCIC for all of one month and he also happens to be the newly minted Lead Pastor of OSLC.  He lives in Beaumont together with his wife (Tessa), daughter (Zephyra), and dog (Baku).  The drive into the city’s West End affords him with the blessing of ample time to ask and ponder BIG questions.

Questions

Questions are important.  Especially when artfully and playfully asked, questions allow us to drill down past our assumptions, through pat answers that have been proscribed to us, and into a richer understanding of what God is doing in, around and through us.

Hello!  I am Pastor Phil.  And I have questions!

By now I have had a chance to meet many of the people of Our Savior Lutheran Church here in West Edmonton.  But, do we really know each other?  Do we understand the needs and wants that drive us individually and the communities in which we live?  How is God calling and preparing us to grow together in such understanding?  What does it mean to be people of God, called to be The Body of Christ in this place at this time?
