OSLC Partners With CLWR Water Projects

Web Banner - CharityWater.orgMany of us take a trip to the kitchen sink for a glass of water for granted. We also consider a shower or bath a necessary part of our daily routine. We have fresh water on demand...but their are millions of people who don't.

SO, at OSLC we plan to do something about that problem. We are going to partner with Canadian Lutheran World Relief CLWR)  to provide clean, safe drinking water to as many villages as we can. We want to make it possible for as many of those 1 billion people who don't have safe drinking water to have access to what GOD gave to all of us - CLEAN Water.

As part of our effort to make a difference (to be part of God's redemptive process and to live out the Micah Challenge), we will be challenging our community of faith (OSLC) to share their financial resources and provide life-giving clean water to those without it at present.

The CLWR:Water Challenge! Give $20 so one person can have clean water for 20 years.

Tom Brooks from CLWR will be our Guest Lecturer on Sunday, November 29th at both the 9 & 10:45 am worship services. He will also stay for a continuation of the discussion (A light lunch will be provided) following the 10:45 am service. We will present CLWR with our first cheque to get 3-4 wells developed in the same number of communities. Consider a gift to this project and help us make a bigger impact.

So watch for details on how you can participate in more ways.
